Current Projects
Here's a list of our current projects that PMTB has either sponsored or is the primary Advocacy group spearheading the project.
Sterling Forest
Palisades MTB now has approval to help build 5 miles of new trail in Sterling Forest State Park. PMTB will contract with Tahawus, a professional trail-building company, to speed construction of the new mountain bike optimized trail. If you are interested in helping bring this new trail to life, please consider donating by clicking on the link below.
We will need your help growing these trails. Please donate to help us bring this project to fruition.
Blauvelt State Park
Blauvelt was PMTB’s first main project where we built a small trail system from the ground up. PMTB is responsible for the continuous upkeep and maintenance of these trails currently. There are no new plans to build further trails although we are advocating for more, pending long term success of the existing network. The adjacent properties in Takamak and Clausland will require advocacy to get the land managers to approve any future trail building. Volunteers are always welcome.
Alpine Scout Camp
This project is to advocate for a trails master plan for the Alpine area. It’s still in its early stages of approval and working with the land managers. We hope to start digging more new trails soon.
